We are in a very important election cycle. For too long, our community has been excluded from the full political process. We can’t sit and wait for others to drop information on us. We have to seek it.

We wanted to hear from the heart of each candidate about their plans to put the voice of our community into action. So, we asked every Democratic and non-partisan candidate on the ballot to record a short video of themselves answering 3 important questions of value to members of their communities.

1) What is your personal passion?
2) How do you connect with and learn from people who have been excluded from the electoral process?
3) If elected, how will the community know that you are representing our needs?

NOTE: There are a lot of places we think of as “Ypsi” but are not within the city boundaries. If you are not sure which city our township you live in (or if you are registered), please visit mi.gov/vote, or call the county clerk at 734-222-6730. (Remember, helping you is the clerk’s job!)
